Tegan & Sara & a discovery

Last night I went to see one of my personal favorite groups to perform at the Place – des – arts : Salle Wilfrid Pellitier. Tegan & Sara is a touch of folk, rock, acoustic, love…(google it)Two sisters that compose real music. One of them lives in Montreal and the other in Vancouver. This show is part of their tour to promote their new album “Sainthood”.

I’ve never been to that venue before, but the acoustics and sound was great. (I think radiohead  performed there once) They  usually hold classical orchestra shows, theatre and ballet shows. I was sitting on the first balcony. The only problem was the light show sometimes flashed in our eyes during a few songs. That resulting in blind us for a few minutes. It was mostly girls and lesbians at the show, but thats all good, hehe. I had my gf with me to back me up. Overall great show, they are always funny on stage and give a good encore in the end. Sounds  good live.  They played lots of old songs and stuff from the new album.

Now, the opening band was new to my ears and im happy to have discovered them. An Horse, is an australian band of 2 members. Kate is the singer and guitarist and Damon the drummer and back-up vocals. The two of them is enough to create melodic and catchy riffs.
