Nam Comics…

These comics was a hunt that my old man acquired in a used book store in Toronto. The book store itself was situated beside a mega book store called ” Worlds Biggest Book Store”. This whole search took place in the mid nineties or even late, im still not sure. It took us at least a few rides from Montreal to Toronto. It was worth it…He picked up alot of them.

Marvel released  The ‘Nam in 1986. It was a war comic book series detailing the U.S. War in Vietnam from the point of view of an active-duty soldiers involved in the conflict. It was written by Doug Murray, illustrated by Michael Golden, edited by Larry Hama and published by Marvel Comics for seven years beginning in 1986.

The comic itself was proclaimed to be very raw. It was a close look into the horrors of the vietnam war, the vietnamese people, lives of american soldiers that sacrificed their lives. Some fictious scenarios and some based on real stories. They are now out of print and have become a collectors item and vintage comic. My dads collection are still in the plastic…
