L’amour se meurt

This is the recent clip by Quebec artist Yann Perreau . “L’amour se meurt” is one of the tracks from his recent album “Un serpent sous les fleurs”. I’ve listened to some of his earlier stuff before, and he writes really good music, but the main interest of this track, in all honesty, was the fact that it was directed by someone I knew and the director of photography is one of my close friends. I saw the process of the post-production of this video. My friend was doing the coloring of the look of the clip.  Directed by Gabriel Poirier Gingras aka GPG and the DOP is by Jean-Philippe Bernier. A slow-motion/reverse filmotography in the likes of Coldplays the Scientist. The concept, from what I understood, is that they are some kind of cival war type soldiers fighting for music. A marching band battling. Anyways…

    Dope thing!
    Just by reading your description I taught of a “Tout est parfait” copycat, but it’s REALLY ill, great concept of seing it like different scenes that follows
    Song is nice too….it’s rare i feel some Quebec variety
