My friend Danny plays for the MONTREAL WANDERERS RUGBY CLUB. He had a game on saturday, so I decided to check it out.
Rugby is pretty intense and fun to watch. The rules are a bit complicated and hard to understand at first. Good thing I had Nasser with me to explain a few rules. A few more games and I think I will know the game pretty well.
Danny’s team is ranked second in his divison. From what I understood he plays on the reserve team of Division A. The opposing team was TMR. All I got to say is The Wanderers wandered to a 60 – 0 win I think( Not sure of the score, but I know they won easily the match) Check out the video, Danny scores an expressive run(at 0.44sec). He’s a beast that kid!
My summer was crazy, I got to see my share of the world, drank way too much, geeked out a little and it’s all coming to an end with classes starting over . I’ve been messing around with my camera for a while now and I realized I had a bunch of clips sitting there, unused. I decided to give them purpose and made a recap video of my summer. It sure isn’t a shotbyjfk production, but here’s the result.
On wednesday, Luca and I attended the Galerie Yves Laroche launch party. They recently just moved from the Old Port to the Mile End. We made our way into the artsy crowd and into the gallery. A few greetings from homies here and there. A little stroll into this huge 9,000 square foot space .
The gallery is currentyl exhibiting the art of Daniel Martin Diaz’s, his first solo exhibition in Canada titled “Sacred Machine” and also “Looking East” by guest curator Justin Giarla.
” Looking East will showcase artists of the future art generation and new art movements of Urban Contemporary and Pop Surrealism. Looking East will feature the work of internationally successful artists such as Kevin Cyr, Greg Gossell, Aaron Nagel, Morgan Slade, Mike Shine, AJ Fozik, Shepard Fairey, Clayton Brothers, Hush, Ron English and much more.”
Good friends of mine, Le Matos was invited to perform for this event. Very unusual for them to perform in a very lit room in front of a crowd that kinda didn’t care much about the band and rather spend their time socializing outside. They still gave a good show. Only bad thing was the sound was echoing all over the place. Walls and concrete floor…Nothing to really absord the sound. I compiled a little video of the event. Enjoy…
All the bands did a great performance and we discovered new acts.
We would like to thank JJ Hodges for inviting us and the whole PRP CREW.
The whole idea of this event is :
” Through the proceeds of an annual fundraising concert, the Punk Rawk Princess Benefit is dedicated to providing financial support to organizations that are striving to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness. “

Homie Neek down in Vegas started a blog called The Breakfast of Champions. Asked me to collaborate and help out. I said yes…
“Cigarettes and Coffee. Cereal with Beer and Sriracha Sauce. Breakfast of Champions. Desayuno De Campeones. Inhale. Exhale. Sip… repeat. Trolling the internet for an ounce of fucking intellect, you invariably stumble upon a digital goldmine. Satire that would make Voltaire proud. Interviews with the denizens of society- from highbrow to scumbag. Yes, there may be some party pictures. No, there won’t be sneaker release dates. Do we know what we’re doing? No… Do we care? No. Food. Bullshit. Good.
You’re Welcome. De Nada. Dooitashimashite.”
